The Swiss House Hotel is perfect for those looking for some country style charm amidst the vibrancy of this cosmopolitan capital. This attractive B and B is covered with evocative trailing ivy and flower boxes and the theme continues inside with floral displays. Pine furnishings have been used throughout and original features such as fireplaces give this hotel a real English country feel. had originally rated this hotel "somewhat recommended", but I changed it because this is a nice hotel. We had a room that was up four flight of stairs and faced the road. Some of the others were only one or two floors up and faced the back. I would ask for one of those next time. I advise you get off at the S. Kensington and walk as there are numerous pubs and shops along the road. Stop at Fuller''s wine shop or Odd Bins on a Saturday afternoon for wine tastings.
